The first thing that you will notice, as a new student, is that we actually love teaching others at our Dance Studio. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and to "turn on the fun as soon as possible".

"The more shy, more awkward or more anxious you are when you walk through our door the harder we work to get you dancing and to help you enjoy it as soon as possible. We think you'll be surprised at just how fast you will learn to dance..."

As a matter of fact, most of our learners with absolutely no experience and massive anxiety over dance will remark on how comfortable our learning environment is. We are absolutely passionate about dance and truly respect adult learners who actually make an effort to learn to dance. We also take extra efforts to improve our class environment by avoiding massively overcrowded dance floors, overworked instructors and cookbook approaches to instruction, an unfortunate symptom of some "big name"/corporate studios. We realize that most of our adult learners have spent a lifetime being uncomfortable around dance - we don't want to add to the discomfort when they actually decide to change that. Dancing is fun! We are committed to keeping it that way.

As you will see, as you review this site, the gem of our dance teaching program is high-quality, competitive-level Ballroom Dance (dancesport) instruction but we also offer a wide variety of unique programs that are ideal for people with limited schedules or budgets as well as current dancers wanting to "try their feet" at a new, fun step or two. The spirit of our studio is one of the love of dance. Secretly, we wish that we could convince all of our students to become competitive, ballroom dancers because we gain great satisfaction from seeing shy newbies morph into confident ballroom dancers (also because dance competitions tend to throw incredibly enjoyable parties!) Having said this, we have a strict policy of happily serving your dance needs, whatever they may be.

I started Ballroom Dance at a time in my life when I was ready for a new challenge. I had always wanted to learn to Ballroom Dance but other priorities had consistently prevented me from starting.

I started initially with a great deal of shyness and anxiety – I am definitely not a gifted dancer. I was also anxious about beginning lessons as a single male with no prior experience.
